West County Trail construction

A note from county parks:We have hired a general contractor (Siri Grading and Paving, Inc.) to perform minor trail repair from Pajaro Lane in Forestville to Merced Avenue in Santa Rosa. The repair work will include sealing pavement cracks and removing and patch paving sections of the West County/Joe Rodota Trail. The work will take approximately 15 work days (June 24 to July 15, 2009). The trail will open to public use during this time, but expect delays. Our staff will post temporary signs on…See More

Sonoma County Regional parks continues to make slow and steady progress on putting together the Central Sonoma Valley Trail. Below is an update from Ken Tam, a planner for Regional Parks. Sonoma mtn road to open

Word is that Sonoma Mtn road will be open in a week- see the message from Vin Hoagland below:"I rode up to the repair site this morning and talked with the foreman in the white shirt. He said that the road would be officially open to vehicular traffic at the close of the workday shift on Friday, June 5. There is beautiful new pavement but only for a few hundred yards.Vin"See More

May 20 Sonoma CSEC/ city council joint meeting

Once a year the Sonoma city council has a "study session" with the Community Services and Environment Commission (CSEC). They talk about how the CSEC will be working with the city council in the coming year. (The CSEC looks into various environmental issues and makes recommendations to the council.)
