Bike Mechanic class for women- brakes and shifters
March 27th For details and to sign up contact Sherry_N_Adams@yahoo.com
Back by popular demand, we'll be having another women’s bike mechanic class
at Community Bikes the last Saturday in March. This will be a women
only time at the shop. We will be covering minor adjustments to brakes
and shifters: how these systems work, common problems and how to
resolve those problems. You are encouraged to bring your bike for the
hands-on portion of the class, how ever we will also have bikes
available for you to practice on. Feel free to bring tools you have
that you would like to learn to use.
Please come expecting to get dirty, and prepared to be patient with your self and others.
If you are a woman who has some experience with brake and derailer
adjustments, I'd love to have your help during the hands-on portion of
the class assisting students.
Price: The class is free. Community Bikes always welcomes donations.
Community Bikes is a collaborative volunteer run bike shop where you can use
tools, learn how to fix your bike, volunteer (both mechanical and
non-mechanical help needed), donate unwanted bikes and parts, and buy
refurbished bikes and used parts. Open shop hours are Saturdays and
Sundays from 1-5. Open for bike sales Tuesdays-Sundays from 1-5. The
shop phone number is 579-5811. We are located at 4009 Sebastopol Rd , Santa Rosa , very close to the Joe Rodota bike path.
The March 27th class is open only to women, however the rest of the classes
